1. 強化大專校院將專利技術產業化，教育部推廣學校智慧財產管理機制，建立跨校聯合技術創新與智財營運平臺，希望大專校院研發經費來自企業總額，從98年的34億元，10年後倍數成長到70億元，所開創的智慧財產收入，從超過4.7億元成長到超過10億元。
To enhance colleges by industrializing patent technology, Ministry of Education promotes a management mechanism for school intellectual property. With establishing cross-school joint working platform for technical creativity and intellectual property, it is hoped to raise the budget for researches supported by enterprises from thirty-four thousand one hundred million in 2009 to seventy thousand million dollars after ten years. And the income created by intellectual property is developed from four point seven hundred million to one thousand million dollars or more.
2. 發展學習型社會、學習型臺灣，教育部將推動「學習型城鄉」計畫，希望社區成為提供所有民眾終身學習的環境。99年教育部選定臺北市、嘉義縣、苗栗縣及臺南市進行試辦，今年將擴大辦理，並研擬學習型社區指標，包括：社區利用閒置空間打造為多功能學習中心，活化現有公園表演場地設施，希望建構更完善的終身學習環境。
To develop learning-type society, and learning-type Taiwan, Ministry of Education will promote a program called learning-type city which hopes to provide all the residents a lifelong learning environment. MOE selects Taiwan, 嘉義 County, 苗栗 County and Tainan City to be model areas of holding the program in trail last year. In this year, the program will be extended and the target for learning-type community will be drawn up. Including making use of unused space to establish multi-function learning center and activating installations in performance ground in the parks, it is hoped to construct a more completed lifelong learning environment.
3. 為了提供家長替小孩選擇營養健康的點心，營養師指出，「點心」是具有熱量與營養的食物，可以維持兒童體力；但「零食」大多是高油、高鹽、高糖、高熱量又缺乏營養素的食物，容易造成小朋友營養不均衡，提醒家長多關心孩童課餘時間吃下肚的點心。
To offer parents nutritious and healthy snacks for their children, dieticians say snack is food with calorific capacity and nutrition which can maintain children's physical strength. However, junk food is food with high oil, salt, sugar, calories without any nutrition which may easily cause to unbalanced nutritional assimilation for children. They remind parents to pay more attention to what their children eat after school time.
4. 全球40多個國家共同發起的「守護童心手護未來」－避免兒童遭受商業性剝削的連署簽名活動，昨天(4)在台北市立動物園發起連署，由8位國小學生和校長，共同宣讀「我想要快樂安全地長大」兒童節兒權宣言，並號召千人手印簽名，為下一代安全及幸福成長努力！
A campaign called "guarding children's hearts and signing for their future" originated by over forty countries was held in Taipei Zoon yesterday to support children for avoiding being exploited by commercial actions. The eight elementary school students and principals read out the declaration for children's rights in the Children's Day and collected thousands of people's imprints of the hands to take efforts for safety and happiness of the next generation.
5. 考選部統計發現，近3年普考有1/3以上錄取者，也同時考取高考三級，雖然普考會增額錄取，但增額人數仍然不足，導致用人機關還是「無人可用」。有人建議考選部，讓高普考相同類科在同一天考試，避免重複錄取，不過，考試院長關中認為，茲事體大，要求通盤研議，再提交考試委員座談會或審查會討論。
The statistics of Ministry of Examination finds that one third of test takers enrolled in general examination for civil servant also take part in the 3rd level of senior examination. Although the number of enrollment in general examination will be increased, the number is still insufficient. Some people suggest the ministry to hold both examinations in the same day to avoid double enrollment. However, director of the ministry 關中 considers it an important issue. He asks for comprehensive
decision before handing over to seminar for commissioners or investigation.
6. 行政院原子能委員會昨天(4)公布檢測資料，原能會累計檢測日本進口食品721件食品，都符合規定。截至今天上午11點，設置在松山、桃園及小港機場的輻射門框偵檢器，總共檢測8萬7259人次，其中超過儀器設定值有輕微污染者45人，現場處理後就返家。
Atomic Energy Council announced an information for examination yesterday that all the seven hundred twenty-one foods imported from Japan fitted in with relevant qualification. By 11 am this morning, the radiation detection set in 松山, Taoyuan and 小港 airport had tested eighty-seven thousand two hundred and fifty-nine people. Among the passengers, forty-five of them were detected slight pollution. After being disinfected, all of them had homed.
7. 在法國所有通過高中會考的學生都可以就讀醫學院，醫學系學生在大一結束時，必須通過共同考科測試才能升上大二。每年約有6萬名醫學院一年級生，競爭醫學系、牙醫學系名額，錄取率約2成。醫學院教改新制從2009年到2011年試辦，規定學生可以在第一學期期中考後，依成績轉系到理工學院，避免因醫學院會考成績落後，而陷入留級的窘境。
Students in France who are qualified by joint examination for senior high school students can study in colleges of medicine. However, the student of college of medicine should pass an examination for joint subjects before being a sophomore. About sixty thousand of freshmen in the colleges compete with each other for the twenty percentage of enrollment in department of medicine and department of dentistry every year. To avoid getting into studying difficulty when failing in the joint examination, the educational reformation of department of medicine held from 2009 to 2011 allows students to transfer to colleges of engineering with the scores in the midterm of the first semester.
